1. How do I open an account?

To open an account with Afribank Uganda:

  1. Visit any Afribank branch.
  2. Request and complete an account opening form.
  3. Submit the required documents.
  4. Make the minimum opening deposit (where applicable).
    Once verified, your account will be activated.

2. What documents are required to open an account?

The required documents include:

For Individuals

  • Valid National ID (for Ugandan citizens)
  • Passport (for foreigners)
  • Proof of address (utility bill, tenancy agreement, or LC letter)
  • Tax Identification Number (TIN)
  • Recent passport-size photographs

For Businesses

  • Certificate of Registration/Incorporation
  • Memorandum & Articles of Association (if applicable)
  • Business TIN
  • Board resolution (for companies)
  • IDs of directors/signatories
  • Proof of business address

3. How do I set up online or mobile banking?

To register for Afribank Online or Mobile Banking:

  1. Open and activate your account.
  2. Request digital banking enrollment at the branch.
  3. Receive login credentials via SMS or email.
  4. Download the Afribank mobile app (if available).
  5. Log in and change your default password.

Online and mobile banking services allow you to:

  • Check balances
  • Transfer funds
  • Pay bills
